Binary Tree to Unveil the Future of Migrating Lotus Notes Applications to Microsoft SharePoint at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009

NEWARK, N.J., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Binary Tree, a leading provider of solutions for migrating Lotus Notes messaging and applications to the Microsoft Platform and to Microsoft Online, announced today that it will be demonstrating new products for migrating Lotus Notes applications to Microsoft SharePoint in booth 514 at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009 next week in Las Vegas. The new products will include CMT for SharePoint 2.5, which is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2009, as well as a Lotus Notes Transformation Resource Library with integration to Visual Studio via plug-ins.

"Binary Tree is a preferred and leading Microsoft ISV Partner for supporting customers that are seeking to transition from Lotus Notes to Microsoft's platform for enterprise messaging, applications and collaboration," stated Terry Birdsell, Director of Enterprise Sales, Microsoft Corporation. "They are a key ISV partner to Microsoft's Enterprise Notes Migration Methodology (ENM) and we look forward to continuing our work with them worldwide to address the wave of demand customers are showing in this space."

"We will be presenting a new collaborative approach to migrating Lotus Notes applications to Microsoft that goes beyond simply analyzing your Notes environment and migrating data and simple forms," stated Henry Bestritsky, Managing Partner of Binary Tree. "With this powerful combination of new solutions, developers can now search across all code to find specific workflow relationships between Lotus Notes applications. We believe that there is no other product in the world that can match this level of flexibility and discovery."

CMT for SharePoint 2.5 will provide new levels of simplicity and power for migrating Lotus Notes applications to Microsoft SharePoint. CMT for SharePoint 2.5 will incorporate new capabilities like providing a simple yet powerful way to migrate non-standard Notes applications to SharePoint, the ability to export all Notes code into a SQL database, a flexible rules engine with integration into SQL reporting services, and multi-threaded and multi-machine migration processing capabilities with automated workload distribution.

Other new products on the horizon for migrating applications include a Transformation Resource Library, a plug-in for Visual Studio, and a forms conversion product. The Transformation Resource Library is a wiki-based repository of code snippets, design elements, and tips and tricks for migrating Notes applications to SharePoint and other Microsoft technologies. The Visual Studio plug-in will integrate with the Transformation Resource Library allowing Microsoft developers unprecedented access to understanding complex Lotus Notes technologies directly from their Microsoft development environment.
