TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 10/15/13 -- iSIGN Media Solutions Inc. ("iSIGN" or "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ISD)(OTCQX:ISDSF), a leading provider of interactive mobile advertising solutions that serves advertisers, manufacturers, retailers and advertising agencies throughout North America, discusses data.

Since January 2013 iSIGN has been focused on the value and volume of its shopper and consumer insights gathered by its various installations in both the United States and Canada. iSIGN's long term partner IBM, as well as its more recent partners Keyser Retail Solutions, Baylor University and Verizon Wireless have recognized and have emphasized the importance of the volume of our very significant data that is both valuable and in demand by third parties.

Until the recent announcement by Apple of iBeacon and its latest iOS7 introduction, iSIGN has been virtually alone for the past five years in promoting Bluetooth® proximity broadcasting to mobile devices while capturing people's responses, with its original Bluetooth® IMS device, followed by its Smart Antenna with both Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi capabilities and recently announced Smart Player. Apple's announcement has led to an instant appreciation and mass awareness of Bluetooth® technology.

"Apple's recent announcement by that it has been working with Bluetooth® since 2010 validates the use of the Bluetooth® medium and proves that we were on the right course years earlier," stated Mr. Alex Romanov, Chief Executive Officer of iSIGN. "The advantage of our Smart Antenna is that it can communicate not only with iPhones, but also with all other makes of smartphones. Our new Smart Player marries the ability of our Smart Antenna to interact in proximity will all smartphones via Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi, with the ability to manage the messaging and scheduling of content displayed on two digital signs. This combination makes our Smart Player the best and the only solution for indoor and outdoor installations for the quick service restaurants, restaurants, convenience stores and gas stations for mobile interaction and digital sign management."

"We have commenced the building of prototypes of our Smart Player and expect to have a number of them constructed within the next eight weeks for release to specific partners for field testing," added Mr. Romanov.

iSIGN's technology and hardware products have been operating in various installations over the past number of years and have proven the effectiveness of Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi interaction in proximity and collecting privacy protected responses. iSIGN's technology is protected by a patent pending filing that was initially filed in November of 2007 and published worldwide in April 2008. Since the filing and publishing of its applications, iSIGN's filings have not been challenged.

All of this effort has paved the way for iSIGN to be one of the first, as well as a very significant data accumulating company partnered with an eco-system prepared to start purchasing, analyzing and reselling its data to the new and evolving Data Economy.

"When iSIGN first started operations, we were simply a company broadcasting messages to mobile devices that captured consumer responses to the messaging," stated Mr. Romanov. "Over the years, we further developed and refined our back-end reporting systems allowing for additional pieces of information to be gathered. During this time we began to realize that we were becoming much more than a simple mobile broadcaster, as we recognized that the data we were gathering was pertinent to advertisers, retailers and others. As our installations expand, the volume of data will continue to grow exponentially. We believe that through our various partnerships and product development, that we have laid the groundwork to start monetizing our 'inventory' of data. My expectation is that we will start to see data revenue this year."

"To the best of my knowledge we are the only TSX Venture and perhaps the only TSX company that can be classed as a data company," added Mr. Romanov.
